Just a few of your amazing qualities are; your sense of humor and the way you make me smile.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to hear you laugh!  I appreciate your patience and understanding of my shortcomings.  You are an amazing father (for the serious times), and a super dad (for the fun times).  You are ALWAYS a gentleman.  Thank you for opening ALL those doors for me!  You hear my thoughts, even when I say you don’t.  But most of all, you are my very best friend, and the love of my life!

One CRAZY week!

Friday we have a healthy, happy baby BOY at 11:00 PM, born to an amazing 1st time mom. I just pulled into driveway, and phone rings, yep, another mom in labor.  Back out I go.  Saturday at 4:00 AM another healthy, happy baby BOY. 5 days later, after laboring all day with another 1st time mom we finally have a healthy happy baby GIRL at 10:30 PM.  3 days later another mom in labor, after 2 days of very slow labor, we finally have a healthy happy baby GIRL just after midnight to an another amazing 1st time mom.  Back home in bed for about an hour, then up for prenatals and another day.  Ya gotta love a midwives schedule.

 

Whitney is gone for a week to EFY, so Paul and I are getting a taste of empty nest!  It's a bit different, I think she will have to present me with more challenges, in order for me to be happy when she goes away to college.  I have heard that's why teenagers are sometimes challenging, so when it comes time for them to move out, you are ready.  Well Whitney is just great to have around, and for at least this week, I miss her already, and I'm not ready to send her away to college.  I'm glad we still get to have her around for another year, that is unless she gets tired of us, and leaves sooner.  She finished up with high school a year early so she's taking classes at our local college, and working to earn money for the Art Institute in the fall.  I love and miss you Whitney!  I hope you have a GREAT time at EFY!
